Authentication session cookie: maintains your logged-in state so you do not need to re-enter your credentials on each page. This cookie is set by Supabase Auth and expires when your session ends or after the configured session duration.

CSRF protection cookie: prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. This is a security measure that protects your account from unauthorised actions.

3. Preference Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalised experience. They are stored locally and do not transmit data to external servers.

Theme preference: remembers whether you have selected dark or light mode so the Platform displays correctly on your next visit.

Voice preference: stores your selected AI tutor voice and language so you do not need to reconfigure this each session.

Persona preference: remembers your chosen teaching persona (Sage, Coach, Socrates, or Buddy).

These preferences are stored using browser localStorage rather than traditional cookies. They remain on your device until you clear your browser data or change the setting.

4. Analytics Cookies

We may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Platform. These cookies collect information in an aggregated form to help us improve the user experience. If analytics cookies are implemented, they will be activated only with your explicit consent.

At present, Asgard Learn does not use third-party analytics cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any analytics cookies are placed.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Our payment provider (Stripe) may set cookies during the checkout process to prevent fraud and process transactions securely. These cookies are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy and are classified as essential for payment processing.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or any cookies that profile you for marketing purposes.
